Time to visit the south with some musical touches.
A good starting point was Atlanta with the world famous World of
Coca Cola, CNN Headquarters, 1996 Olympic site and the impressive
monument of Martin Luther King.
Savannah was the first coast town. This was for us the first real
southern city.
In Charleston we’ve visited the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown and
the submarine USS Clamagore.
At the Boone Hall plantation, famous from “North and South”, we did
a guided tour. Before we left the coast we’ve visited Myrtle Beach
and Wilmington.
After Fayetteville and Dillard we’ve visited Smokey Mountain
National Park and Gatlinburg.
On our way to St Louis, gateway to the west, we passed through
Nashville and Metropolis – home of Superman.
The last part of our trip was a visit to Memphis and Tupelo, home
and birthplace of Elvis Presley.
Of course we’ve also visited Graceland.
