 First stop of our vacation: New Orleans.
New Orleans, especially the French Quarter, was so charming. The
beautiful houses with the balconies, the Mississippi riverfront,
Jackson Square, the old streetcars, …
After a stay of 5 days, we took a plane to Las Vegas. In Las Vegas
we also stayed for 5 days. Our hotel was “New York New York”. During
the day we did some shopping and relaxing at the swimming pool.
In the evening we strolled from hotel to hotel to see the extreme
and crazy things like volcano eruptions, a fight of 2 pirate ships,
fountains dancing on classic music, ….
After 5 days, we’ve had it. Enough, time to go on.
Via the Grand Canyon and Cedar Breaks we drove all the way up to
Salt Lake City. In Salt Lake City we’ve visited what an outsider may
see of the Mormon Church and of course the Salt Lake.
Later on we did go to Ketchum, Sun Valley and Twin Falls in Idaho.
From there we took the long road through the dessert of Nevada to
Reno and Lake Tahoe.
Before ending our trip in San Francisco we’ve made a stop in
Sacramento, the capital of California.
